Are Shoetech consultations covered by Medicare?
Shoetech consultations and products cannot be claimed on Medicare. However, most private health funds will cover the costs of Shoetech products. Unfortunately the Shoetech consultation cannot be claimed. |
| The level of private health insurance cover will determine exactly what can be claimed by each patient. Not all health funds require a referral but it may be a good idea to have one on file for potential claims. |
Are referrals necessary?
A referral is not required for a Shoetech consultation. However in cases of complex problems, or where previous treatment or surgery has taken place, it is beneficial for your Shoetech practitioner to know the medical history of diagnosis. Referrals are also useful with health fund claims.
Are home visits available?
Shoetech practitioners are available for home visits, in cases where patients are unable to attend the clinic. These are charged on a case by case basis, as the cost allows for travel time. To enquire further, contact the Shoetech clinic. |
